Insound teams with New York Underground Film Festival 11 February 2000 Alternative online music retailer Insound has teamed with the New York Underground Film Festival, sponsoring the music component this year. Confirmed bands include Rainer Maria, The Lapse, The Letter E (featuring members of June of 44 and Rex), Turing Machine, and The Explosion. Starting 8 March Insound opens their site to NYUFF artists, who can self distribute and stream their films year round. Any NYUFF artist may sell and show their work through the site. Ed Halter, NYUFF director, said “Insound had already organized relationships with many of the same artists and distributors that we at the NYUFF use. Starting with music and film, they are in the process of centralizing the entire independent arts scene without sacrificing its integrity.” This year’s New York Underground Film Festival runs 8-12 March. | Insound | | NYUFF | | top of page | |
