The Go-Betweens recording in Portland, Oregon
10 February 2000
The Go-Betweens are now recording tracks for a new studio album in Portland, Oregon with Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss, according to band mate Carrie Brownstein. Weiss and the band are apparently getting on well—she’s taken the Australians to her favorite local Karaoke bar. No word yet on an album title, label, or release date.
Robert Forster and Grant McLennan disbanded The Go-Betweens in 1989, but have stayed in touch and played together several times in the past decade, most recently on a six date European tour in 1997. The new album will be their first studio effort together since the ’80s. | discography | | sample | | top of page |
