Madigan Shive to revive MoonPuss New Music series

Madigan Shive, 25 year old founder of San Francisco chamber pop collective Bonfire Madigan, plans to start up the MoonPuss New Music series again next year. MoonPuss is Shive’s own film & music label. The series will be an eclectic mix of spoken word, music, and performance art to take place in Los Angeles or San Francisco—plans are still taking shape. Performances will be recorded and included on a compilation CD, to be issued possibly in 2001. As for Bonfire Madigan (Madigan Shive, cello, vocals, and songs; Tomas Palermo, percussion and turntables; Shelley Doty, guitar; Sheri Ozeki, contrabass; Sunshine Haire, drums), they plan to tour the US west coast throughout the winter, while taking time to work on songs and lay down new tracks. No specific album plans to report yet.
