14 December 2000
image
Chicago singer/songwriter Kevin Junior’s ’70s-retro drama rock outfit The Chamber Strings play live on Chicago radio station Q101 tomorrow morning (15 December) starting at 8:30 am EST (1:30 pm GMT). You can listen to the broadcast over the Web using Windows Media Player.
Last month The Chamber Strings announced a new release date for their second album, Month Of Sundays, now to be available 27 February 2001 in the US and the UK. It follows last year’s lush and affecting Gospel Morning.
The first single from Month Of Sundays will be Make It Through The Summer, to be released as a UK only CD with non-album tracks For The Happy Endings (demo version) and Beautiful Mothers & Somebody’s Wife. The first US single will be a 7" vinyl 45 with Make It Through The Summer b/w For The Happy Endings (LP version).
You can hear a cover version of The Chamber Strings’ Every Day Is Christmas on the new XFM/Jeepster benefit compilation It’s A Cool, Cool Christmas, performed by The Webb Brothers (the sons of songwriter Jimmy Webb, who penned pop classics such as Galveston and Witchita Lineman). | The Chamber Strings | | Q101 radio | | It's A Cool, Cool Christmas (CD) | | bio | | discography | | sample from Gospel Morning | | top of page |
