IUMA announces unsigned band video contest

The IUMA (Internet Underground Music Archive) in association with EMusic announced yesterday an unsigned band video contest dubbed I-Candy. Open only to unsigned bands whose members reside in the US, the contest will award a US$5,000 first prize, $2,500 second prize, and $1,000 third prize. The first prize winner will also get special A&R promotion and will be featured on the IUMA home page.
IUMA general manager Antony Brydon said “Our goal is to promote the best bands and help them get signed... We think this is a great opportunity to discover some of the best bands on IUMA, and see who fans think should rise above the rest.”
IUMA is accepting submissions now until 18 September. Judges will select the top 20 and post them on 16 October, at which point fans will pick the winners by voting until 22 October. | I-Candy contest | | IUMA | | EMusic | | top of page |
