33 year old Manchester ambient/dance/trip-hop artist A Guy Called Gerald (Gerald Simpson) released Essence last week worldwide—except for North America—on Studio K7 Records. The follow up to Black Secret Technology, it is his first album in five years and will be available in North America on 29 August. The set includes collaborations with Lady Miss Kier (ex Deee-Lite), Jennifer Neal, Sheffield born, Welsh singer/songwriter Wendy Page, Public Domain, Lamb’s Louise Rhodes, and David Simpson.
Tonight starting at 8 pm PDT (11 pm EDT, 4 am BST on Friday) you can listen to and watch a live Webcast of A Guy Called Gerald on San Francisco’s Beta Lounge Web site. DJ Tyson from The Netherlands will also perform. Beta Lounge archives their shows for viewing on demand.
You can listen to free, full length stereo streaming RealAudio versions of all the tracks from Essence courtesy of the Studio K7 Web site, who also offer a free MP3 (MPEG I layer 3) file of the album track Multiplies featuring Wendy Page. | AGCG fan site | | AGCG on Studio K7 Records | | Webcast | | bio | | discography | | CD | | top of page |
