DJ Sean Deason aka Freq, S.I.N., Code 3, Project X, and Psykofuk (“I used to think that each side of me, each different mood and mode, needed an alias. But now I’m starting to think that ultimately they are all really just me, and maybe trying to separate them is useless.”), a member of the so-called Third Generation of Detroit techno artists, reissued his debut album Allegory & Metaphor last week on Intuit-Solar. The album was previously available on his own Matrix Records label.
Although producing records since 1993, he staged his live performance debut just this past May at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. On Friday (25 August) running 10 pm until 5:30 am he’ll be at New York’s Centro Fly along with fellow Detroiter Kenny Larkin (founder of the Art of Dance imprint) and New York DJ Ulysses (of Scatalogic) for an Allegory & Metaphor record release party. Admission is free if you arrive before midnight. | Intuit-Solar records | | Matrix records | | Trevor's Rainbow (MP3 sample) | | DEMF | | bio | | discography | | CD | | top of page |
