A Sunshine Fix release debut EP

Louisiana native Bill Doss, founding and core member of The Olivia Tremor Control, releases a solo project EP on the 29th titled The Future History Of A Sunshine Fix. A Sunshine Fix was the name of Doss’ solo project before forming OTC, and was described by him last year as “...a new band springing forth from this camp which’ll be doing many more projects in the future. It is Olivia related, but it might not fit into what [fans] may expect from the Olivias.” While touring in 1999 OTC sold a 7" single containing Sunshine Fix songs—we haven’t determined whether those are included on the new EP.
The new disc fills a gap as The Olivia Tremor Control are temporarily out of the record making business, and breaks OTC’s lo-fi retro-pop mold with explorations in country, soul, and funk. The Future History... is available early direct from Kindercore Records and from Midheaven.
