New York Dolls 1972 classic Lipstick Killers reissued
14 August 2000

The 1972 nine-track studio album Lipstick Killers by legendary noise glam band New York Dolls sees reissue today in the US on the ROIR label. You can order it now from Midheaven. It’s set for general US release next week.
The Dolls recorded Lipstick Killers after being together only a few months. It features original drummer Billy Murcia, who died on the band’s debut UK tour, and predates some of the polish and edge smoothing that marked the band’s later releases including their so-called debut, the self-titled 1973 album produced by Todd Rundgren. | New York Dolls discs on Midheaven | | Dolls tribute from NY Rock | | bio | | discography | | sample from self-titled (1973) | | CD | | top of page |
