Plastilina Mosh sign with Astralwerks, ready second LP
14 August 2000

Mexican technorock duo Plastilina Mosh (Alejandro Rosso on keyboards and samples, Jonàz on guitar) have just signed with US label Astralwerks and will release their second album Juan Manuel in mid October. The set is co-produced by Beastie Boys keyboards player Money Mark (aka Mark Nishita) and Chris Allison (producer for Dot Allison, The Beta Band, Coldplay), and promises to deliver more of the kitchen sink lounge/funk/metal/hip-hop/etc. that the band debuted with 1998’s Aquamosh. That LP was financed by Beck after he discovered them at Austin’s SXSW festival.
The new album’s title refers to a mysterious and possibly fictional character, Juan Manuel. OK....
Plastina Mosh toured previously with the likes of Los Amigos Invisibles and Cornershop, and expect to return to the road around the time of the new release. | Plastilina Mosh | | Plastilina Mosh on Astralwerks | | bio | | discography | | sample from Aquamosh | | top of page |
