PJ Harvey announces new album details

English singer/songwriter/composer Polly Jean Harvey announced today on her official Web site that Universal/Island will release her sixth LP Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea on 23 October for Europe. They haven’t announced a North American release date.
    The album follows her 1998 release Is This Desire? and includes twelve new songs. Radiohead’s Thom Yorke guests on three tracks, one a duet with Harvey—This Mess We’re In, a song Harvey says she wrote with him specifically in mind.
    Stories... was performed and produced by PJ Harvey along with Mick Harvey (ex Bad Seeds, and longtime collaborator) and Rob Ellis (drummer with PJ Harvey’s original band).
