Mogwai leave Glasgow label for better distribution 3 April 2000 Scottish post rock experimentalists Mogwai are about to leave Chemikal Underground records, probably for a new deal with PIAS, according to nme.com. PIAS is best known as the label for UK critical faves Campag Velocet. Mogwai signed with Chemikal Underground for their debut single in 1997, releasing two LPs and three singles over three years. They remain on good terms, a label spokesperson told NME. A band spokesperson said that several labels were interested in the band, and that ...whatever decision we make it will be a good one because people will be able to get our records. | NME story | | discography | | sample | | top of page | |
