Chicago Underground Duo ready second album, tour US
27 April 2000
Experimental jazz act Chicago Underground Duo—drummer Chad Taylor and blues trumpeter/keyboards player Rob Mazurek—release their second album Synesthesia soon in the US on Thrill Jockey records. The new set follows their 1998 LP 12 Degrees Of Freedom and was produced by Tortoise’s John McIntire.
The pair, who also work with the Chicago Underground Trio and the Chicago Underground Orchestra, play tonight in Minneapolis. They continue with three additional midwest dates this month, and have just announced a 17 May performance at The Warfield in San Francisco supporting Stereolab on their US tour opener. | tour dates | | bio | | discography | | sample from 12 Degrees Of Freedom | | top of page |
