Napster foots bill for Limp Bizkit, Cypress Hill tour 25 April 2000 This summer Limp Bizkit, Cypress Hill, and an unnamed third band will play ten US cities at no cost to concertgoers, with controversial software maker Napster, Inc. footing the US$1.8 million (£1.1 million) tour cost. The official Limp Bizkit Web site will announce how to get free passes to the shows. Napster provides software that allows Internet users to easily trade MP3 music files. They are the target of copyright infringement and racketeering lawsuits brought by the Recording Industry Association of America and metal band Metallica. | Billboard story | | Billboard story 2 | | Limp Bizkit | | top of page | |
