Bardo Pond plan studio & live discs, issue call for tapes
25 April 2000

Philadephia noise ensemble Bardo Pond, back from the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in southeast England, will release this summer an EP of all new studio material. The disc will be similar in style to the MP3 files they’ve been posting on the unofficial (but endorsed) Hummingbird Mountain Web site, and will be available only from the site. The band will also release a 500 copy limited edition 7" through Hummingbird Mountain.
The only scheduled Stateside appearance for Bardo Pond will be 13 May at The Cooler in New York city, featuring Lee Ranaldo from Sonic Youth and Christian Marcklay.
The band have also issued a call for taped concerts to be considered for inclusion in a forthcoming live album. If you have taped a Bardo Pond show and would like it considered for the album, send it (analog is OK, but DAT or CD-R is better) to Bardo Live Submissions, 62 Hamilton Road, Chapel Hill NC 27514, USA. | Bardo Pond at Hummingbird Mountain | | bio | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
