Departure Lounge announce UK, US tours 24 April 2000
Then starting 1 May they begin a two week UK tour supporting Swedish power pop quintet The Wannadies, followed by a Stateside tour in June and July. The Departure Lounge US full-length Out Of There, comprising the UK-only Out Of Here EP plus extra tracks remixed by former Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde and Kid Loco, sees release on Flydaddy on 2 May. Tim Keegan collectors will be interested in the new US-only Departure Lounge 7" Johnny A b/w Fortunato, and a various artists CD featuring the Departure Lounge instrumental track ticketpassportmoney, both available from Minnesota based Grimsey Records and in selected shops. Proceeds from the CD benefit a local children’s charity.
