Sparklehorse team with Mogwai producer, Waits, Harvey

US psychedelic folk rockers Sparklehorse have started recording their third studio LP with producer Dave Fridmann (Mogwai, Mercury Rev, Flaming Lips) at his studio in Cassadaga, New York. According to the official Sparklehorse Web site, Tom Waits and PJ Harvey will guest on the not yet titled album. They join permanent members Mark Linkous and Scott Minor and a rotating cast of contributors that compose the band.
In February Sparklehorse released the EP Distorted Ghost. Their Web site contains brief RealAudio samples of all the tracks.
