Broadcast release long awaited debut album 18 April 2000 Birmingham, England ambient/experimental act Broadcast released their debut album The Noise Made By People today in the US. Almost three years in the making, Noise... follows their limited release mini album/singles collection Work And Non Work.     Broadcast’s members include Trish Keenan (vocals), Roj Stevens (keyboards), James Cargill (bass), Tim Felton (guitar), and Keith York and Steve Perkins (drums). They collaborated with Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher) as producer on the set, after trying and failing with several others.     Warp Records, the band’s UK label. describes the debut LP as “an album that hints at a detached and dislocated worldview, that touches on communication breakdown and observing life from afar... made by a band with a fathomless capacity to confuse....” | Broadcast | | Broadcast on Tommy Boy | | discography | | sample | | CD | | top of page |
