Air to play live on US television
18 June 2001

Parisian electronica duo Air (Jean-Benoit Dunckel and Nicolas Godin), now on tour in the US and Canada supporting their new album 10,000 Hz Legend, will perform live on The Late, Late Show With Craig Kilborne next month. The show airs on CBS on Friday, 13 July—actually the morning of the 14th—at 12:30 am in most markets.
10,000 Hz Legend is Air’s second proper studio album, following their 1998 debut Moon Safari. It was recorded and mixed alternately in Paris and Los Angeles, and includes guest appearances by Beck (vocals on The Vagabond, spoken poetry on Don’t Be Light), drummer Brian Reitzell (ex Redd Kross), and Sugar and Yumiko (from Buffalo Daughter). Air released a soundtrack LP last year for The Virgin Suicides, and have also put out several singles and EPs, plus two versions of a mini album titled Premiers Symptomes.
You can listen to the full 10,000 Hz Legend now in streaming RealAudio on the Astralwerks records Web site.
In August, Air play two dates in Japan at the bi-city Summer Sonic Festival. In October they’ll hit the UK for a week of dates. They play tonight in Atlanta, Georgia at Earthlink Live (formerly Center Stage). | Air (unofficial) | | Air on Astralwerks | | tour dates | | bio | | discography | | sample | | top of page |
